At the time you begin to blossom
From below the murky waters
Your next step is to learn
To spread you wings and fly.
There was no way I could do a series like this without a butterfly or dragonfly coming into a picture. These two creatures are symbols of life transformation. The butterfly's metamorphosis from a caterpillar who's only focus is eating (consume, consume, consume) - to that of a butterfly, who is able to transcend from the earth (Earthly concerns) is a common metaphor for spiritual growth.
Hopefully I shall earn my wings eventually. :)
